Course Aims

On this two day course you will learn how to make metal samples, (maybe a silver bangle).

Day One: Fold forming is a metalworking technique involving folding, hammering, and annealing metal sheets to create unique three-dimensional shapes and textures, commonly used in jewellery and metal art. Utilising thin thickness of metal sheet to build form and strength

Day Two: Anticlastic metalwork involves shaping metal into three-dimensional curves by bending it in opposing directions along two axes, resulting in convex and concave forms. This technique is frequently utilized in jewellery making and silversmithing, using delicate yet thin metals that enable artisans to explore artistic forms through hammered work without adding excessive weight to the objects.
